Vendredi 28 novembre à 20h30 au CUBE
This performance/installation is played by a “prosthetic amplified” musician monitored by various detection devices: heartbeat and pulse rate monitors, EEG (recording brainwaves), an electrocardiogram attached to the face, the forearms and the biceps, and eye-tracking glasses. The biosensorial data generated by the performer’s body and the video filming him live form the basis of a multichannel audiovisual composition that is gradually revealed to the audience. The soloist (the artist himself) “plays with” these live videos and biosensorial data to generate a composition in real time.
Born in 1979, Samson Young is a composer, sound artist and multimedia artist who lives and works in Hong Kong. A performance staged as part of “France-Chine 50”, in partnership with the Institut Français, the CHINEurope association and Poé Consulting.
